    Isn’t that the one where a starving child takes her final chance at surviving the night?

    Now it’s a HER problem?

    (eh… I’ve been in a dreadful mood the past day or two, probably being the AH here, or whatever)

      Can’t be that starving, otherwise she’d have eaten the too cold porridge, the just right porridge, then gone back to the too hot porridge now that it had a chance to cool down.

        If you’re starving and just eat everything at once, you’ll just throw it right back up.

        Better to eat a small portion that’ll settle well, go rest for a while, maybe lay down, then come back when it’s had some time to digest.

            Eh, maybe she’s been through this a few times!

            Really though, this sort of behavior isn’t unusual for most kids. I always assumed the point of the story was to tell kids not to do this (or you might get eaten!)
