Someone needs to uh…enforce and regulate rules that benefit society as a whole, those someone’s are very rare and few in-between, who will throw away their own life to for a short time, protect others. Then those others get threatened or killed.
They are like the immune cells, preventing cancer (out of control, non-beneficial growth).
See the problem? What are the odds of an intelligent species evolving without that? We got way further than we should, by the way. But this explains why we can’t seem to find any aliens.
Only humans really seem to have THE civilization and technology building intellect. The rest are a pale shadow. Yet there are so so many species on Earth.
