It’s because making the world better requires change and conservatives are terrified of everything, especially change.

Go up to a conservative. Any conservative. And ask them to talk about politics. No other prompt. Just talk about politics. Don’t interrupt them for maybe 5 minutes. They’ll spend at least 95% of their time talking about fear, in some form or another. Conservatism is built upon, and maintained, by fear.

But its always the dumbest fear.

Its not like “im worried about some idiot POTUS destroying my livelihood through his own ego and a misunderstanding of economic policy” or “im not going to be able to afford health care when i inevitably get sick”.

Its always “if you let gay people get married then people will marry their pets and that would be an atrocity because reasons”.

They are so far deep into a propaganda bubble that there’s no way for you to understand it. If you could see their social media content you’d be amazed of how many lies they buy without questioning.

This is exactly it. I’ve tried talking to a few of the guys that I work with and they are fully sure that every democrat wants to kill all the babies and turn all of their children trans. I pointed out that abortions should be between a woman and her doctor and that the government shouldn’t be involved at all… I got a sparkle of understanding from one of them but then he doubled down that MOST abortions are purely for convenience. Like first of all, no they are not, but even if they were it’s not anybody’s business. Trying to get him to understand that I’m not pro abortion, I’m pro mind your own fucking business.

They want someone to blame for their perceived misery, and to vent their anger at others having it better than them.

It’s easier to do that instead of being introspective.

It doesn’t read like it’s referencing homosexuality to me. Sucking someone’s dick is commonly used to refer to sycophantic behavior. The idea is allowing yourself to be used by a socially dominant figure as a means of currying favor to better your own social position beneath them.

Like I don’t think kissing ass has anything to do with people actually enjoying anal play.

Honestly don’t see this as gay shaming. Thats just how fascist (and many of the terminally online generally) name themselves on twitter sometimes

Not to mention all the people in this thread defending the gay jokes like it’s 2010 and we’re on the r/TumblrInAction subreddit.

I’m just waiting for someone to get called an SJW for having a problem with Nazis getting lumped in with gay people.

Billionaires control the media, including millions of social media accounts. Normal people want him.

The same people who thought a mural of a Soviet leader kissing another man is a definitive condemnation of socialism lol.

Like, yeah he did that. And?
