About time 😁
To those who get upset with this post: bruh just talk to actual Ukrainians. You’ll discover many interesting things.
The funny part of propaganda is that it’s very often true - maybe exagerated but still true. People on the other side just ignore their own issues, so the truth has a shocking effect. But in actuality, if you dig deeper, you almost always end up realising both sides in every conflict do some horrible things and at the same time have good reasons for that. Because war is not about who’s right and who’s wrong, it’s about who’s gonna survive and who’s gonna become a slave or die.
And I’m even not pro-Russian.

Oh yeppers, the site run by a zionist american chiropractor! the bastion of truth!! 😁
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY
Failed Fact Checks: 6 articles on Voice of America and 1 article on Newsweek
“RT is a propagandistic outlet funded by the Russian government. This is true because it is claimed by a propagandistic outlet funded by the US government”
Regardless of credibility of RT, MBFC is ROFL
We know RT shares propaganda and you shouldn’t trust everything they say… Like with other state or corporate media. But you don’t spam it under posts citing media like CNN, BBC or Business Insider, do you?
Because its not reliable enough to spam it.
Its literally every bias and fact report fails Russia as a Putin propaganda plug. LITERALLY EVERY ONE OF THEM! https://www.allsides.com/news-source/rt-media-bias
I would love to see the users casting votes ITT.
This isn’t news, it’s propaganda.
Only propaganda according to western “news”

I forgot that rt.com, which is literally owned and operated by the Russian government, doesn’t put out any propaganda.
“WorldNews” on both Reddit and Lemmy is just a psyops vector
What’s your definition of propaganda? I’d like to invite you to spend some time in this thread thinking through why this article is, in your mind, so clearly propaganda that it’s not worth engaging with.
Of course, I can’t (and wouldn’t want to) force you to spend any time or mental effort thinking about this. But if you’d like someone to (kindly and calmly) ask you questions that could help you come to a deeper understanding of your thoughts about propaganda.
Because this piece seems, to me, interesting and worth reading and thinking about. I also don’t think that the two categories “news” and “propaganda” are totally disjoint, instead I think there’s a huge overlap, with most “news” being delivered as “propaganda”.
The article links to sources you’re probably more familiar with. Are Politico or The Sun propaganda too? How about Zelensky’s own account? The one where he posted a picture of himself hanging out with neo Nazis?
I’ve never seen someone consider the sun to be a
reliableusable source of news before.
It’s not false…
propaganda isn’t about truth value. every true thing ever said about the united states is propaganda
RT? Really? Russian propaganda machine posting an article defacing the leader of Ukraine who’s currently trying to get support against Russia’s occupation? That source?
Dude, its Russia Times They dont get to say what the west thinks. They say what they want the west to think.
They dont get to say what the west thinks.
Damn right, that is the CIA’a job
Russian state propaganda is of course so much less reliable than Statesian corporate propaganda
Indeed, a fact-checking site is the most reliable thing in the world. A fact-checking site would never lie to you or have a bias of their own…would they?
A state median channel definitely wouldn’t have their agenda with monstrously more funding then an fact check site that also have China a positive rating. Goodbye not. Blocked.
