I feel like they’re jealous inside haha

I just don’t understand why they would care so much about what’s happening in a blue state far away from them. It’s like the very idea of someone else living a peaceful happy life sends them into a rage-fueled, spiteful wrath

If those people knew anything about Communism and Islam they’d realize how utterly stupid that combo is…

…what? All three Abrahamic religions are extremely explicit and clear about providing food and shelter to the poor and needy. What counterexample did you have in mind?

I think it’s more the fact that communism in it’s real world manifestations is all about control, and they can’t have competing organized religion, unless they pervert into some state converted version.

            • “communism” IRL is more like vanguardist fascist dictatorships under leftist aesthetics.

I lived in one of these “communist” countries, its actually just a state capitalist hell, practially zero social safety net, zero free busses, zero free childcare, zero free lunch, internal border control, a very “papers please” environment, just more government oppression.

Reason why these failed is bexause of the lack of democracy, the vanguardism has failed it.

Mamdani is not a “communist”, he is a Democratic Socialist, he believes in democracy. We have already seen success with “socialist” policies when they get implemented under a democratic system such as in Norway, for example.

I commend you for having balanced views despite living under “communism”, and being unlike the cuban migrants that see anything slightly left of center and turn into the flashback cupcake dog.

Tbf if you ever lived in North Iraq you would see how much left-leaning average religious Kurd is.

If we stopped invading the region for oil and all it would stabilize and then progress over time.

Socialism is a buzzword that has been used in the US to attack anything remotely progressive that’s happened in the last century.

When Social Security and the New Deal programs were introduced, they were called socialism

When the voting age was lowered to 18, it was called socialism

When the FMLA was passed, it was called socialism.

It’s literally just a word that Republicans who don’t want to support our communities use instead of just flat out admitting that they’re anti human

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Deal#Criticism

In 1934, Roosevelt defended himself against those critics in a “fireside chat”:

[Some] will try to give you new and strange names for what we are doing. Sometimes they will call it ‘Fascism’, sometimes ‘Communism’, sometimes ‘Regimentation’, sometimes ‘Socialism’. But, in so doing, they are trying to make very complex and theoretical something that is really very simple and very practical… Plausible self-seekers and theoretical die-hards will tell you of the loss of individual liberty. Answer this question out of the facts of your own life. Have you lost any of your rights or liberty or constitutional freedom of action and choice?[279]

At the same time, there was an actual (failed) attempt at a fascist coup on Roosevelt’s watch:

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_Plot

The Business Plot, also called the Wall Street Putsch[1] and the White House Putsch, was a political conspiracy in 1933 in the United States to overthrow the government of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and install Smedley Butler as dictator.

So, yeah. Fascists hate this stuff and will do anything to fight it, from name-calling to revolution.

But they are objectively angry and crazy. And hate-filled. And Nazis and their enablers.

If they are throwing baby tantrums over everything, they shouldn’t be surprised if they get laughed at, because we’ve tried working with them for long enough, and see what it got us. Better let them see that their shit is making them look unhinged and ridiculous.

In a way, I guess I agree; it’s not the wittiest analysis of the argument. Everyone SHOULD have topics they get angry about. What matters is which ones. Getting angry about feeding children is a sadly truthful analysis of conservatives right now.

Could lead to a funny comic where they compare reasons each was angry about the last NY mayoral election they lost.

It’s pretty accurate when you see how mad useful idiots are that a servant of the ruling class didn’t get elected.

Nothing pisses them off more than their abusers losing a bit of power.
