Well, cool it anyway 'cause it makes people think you’re a bot.

I hesitate to mention this because I don’t want the ebay seller to sell out before I decide if I want one, but…
Craft Computing has a recent video about a used Supermicro “Microcloud” server that holds 8 Intel socket R nodes in 3U and costs $400 (apparently including CPUs but not RAM). Seems like an excellent way to get cheap redundancy, albeit at the cost of probably not great power consumption because it’s so obsolete.
On the other hand, a lot of screenies do poorly at formal English, like grammar, spelling and word choice, because much of their learning is casual.
Gotta read actual books, not just listen to movie/game dialogue. (Short-form news articles and textual social media probably don’t cut it either, just because news is written to be understood even by people with poor reading skills and social media discussions are too casual.)
I’ve heard that one time – in a show in Albuquerque, no less – when he got to the “anyway, where was I? Kinda lost my train of thought” part, he actually started over again from the beginning!
I bet it did, but you just didn’t know it. It was always a thing you had to ask for, and they’d give it to you from behind the counter.
I was using Gentoo over two decades ago, compiling on an Athlon XP (not sure which model). Single core, well less than 2GHz.
If it was manageable back then, surely it’s no big deal by now with a modern multi-core CPU – even a low-end one, let alone something like a $300 16-core Ryzen 5950X.
Nah, it’s both of them. The difference is, Gentoo gives you a cotton gin and a loom.
They’ve still managed to chip away at it a little. It used to be that you could pick a regular hot dog or a polish sausage for the same price, but the latter is gone now. They also used the pandemic as an excuse to get rid of the sauerkraut, and now I think even the onions are gone.
Also during the pandemic, the local Costco Business Center just demolished their cafe entirely.
I brush at the sink, but use my waterpik in the shower 'cause it’s too messy otherwise.

That’s nothing; I cut mine in the Age of Aquarius!
Like, has anyone lost the game recently?
Not since XKCD #391. You’re welcome.
I’ve been playing Hogwarts Legacy1, and one nice thing about it is the way it separates out gear items from “appearances.” Each piece of gear comes with its default appearance, but also unlocks access to it permanently, so you can choose any appearances you’ve unlocked without having to wear or even keep the items that granted them.
1 don’t judge; I didn’t buy it – it came with Amazon Prime2
2 okay, that you can judge me for

The weaker (permissive instead of copyleft) license alone is a reason to be suspicious of both the project and OP. At this point, it’s just telegraphing plans to eventually go proprietary and enshittify.
Thinking opposing patriarchy is misandry is such a self-report, LOL.
It’s pretty hard to fit all of what you just said into a meme.
I see that now!
Anyway, if what your meme is actually about is people that only use the browser and then refuse to switch but still constantly complain then yeah you’re dead on.
My meme is indeed sort of about that, but it’s even more about pushing back on the other thread and similar sentiments, where their flying monkeys defend their useless complaining and then try to make us out as the bad guys for responding in any way short of wallowing in their misery with them.
Did you actually see the thing this was posted in response to? It was about scolding Linux users for even politely suggesting switching, which is the bare minimum to even begin to try to help solve the complainers’ real problem (corporate enshittification) instead of just the symptom du jour they were complaining about at any given moment.
Don’t scold us for trying to help you and then have the utter fucking gall to try to police our tone instead of your own!
I’ve been noticing several new or new-ish accounts acting similarly. I need to go find an admin/mod discussion about what I (as a mod of another community) should be doing about it.
